Lakes of Fire is sponsored by Great Lakes Experimental Arts, Inc., and seeks to bring the artistry and energy of Black Rock City to the Great Lakes region. Our community is committed to a radically participatory ethic. We believe that transformative change, whether in the individual or in society, can occur only through the medium of deeply personal participation. We achieve being through doing.

We strive to have no spectators at LoF. We encourage you to bring your gift in the form that reflects YOU. Volunteering to build the Effigy, performing in Conclave, hosting a theme camp or installing an art piece are all ways to take part in the Do-ocracy. Being a part of building this temporary community will bring rewards you never dreamed of.
