Great Lakes Experimental Arts, Inc. (GLEA) wants YOU!

Lakes of Fire is seeking passionate and dedicated burners to join our leadership team and make a positive impact within our burn community.

With the new year quickly approaching, we are asking for your help! We currently have a number of departments that could use a hand with all the behind-the-scenes heavy lifting that occurs year-round to make Lakes of Fire happen.

That’s right, GLEA and Lakes of Fire leadership could use a handjob in 2024 and beyond!

Avast ye land lubbers! I hear ye be an ocean sized community with more variety than all the fish in the sea. Be ye hearty enough to join the effigy crew?
The LoF Effigy department is looking to get a better understanding of our volunteer community as we continue to engage with you all. Please fill out this questionnaire to help us understand your skills, desire/availability to participate in our upcoming cycle, and any knowledge that you would be willing to share.

SEND YOUR 2025 THEME IDEAS GLEA is still accepting theme concepts for Lakes of Fire 2025. We’ll keep the Idea Submission Form open until January 31st, 2024 – after that we’ll round up the candidates and put them to the community for a good ol’-fashioned popularity contest.

Hand raising should be an olympic sport because it takes a gold medal amount of effort to put this event on every year. As the year draws to a close sending out appreciation to everyone that helps make this crazy condiment obsessed burn happen every year.
