- Your ticket in Volunteeripate will show you the first day you can enter gate. Do not show up before that day because you will be turned away. Gate doesn’t turn away individuals; `they turn away entire vehicles, so if anyone in your car isn’t approved for early entry, no one gets in. All participants must have early entry for the day you are arriving.
- Get your volunteer shifts! We have many exciting volunteer opportunities still available, keep your eye on our Shift Signup page, Sign up for Subscriptions, email volunteers@lakesoffire.org with questions.
Gate Hours 2025
The Gate is the first stop and your first Doorway to come home. However, there are a few processes you must understand and move through before you can drive through and enjoy the burn. For a full list of what to expect check out the Gate page or the Survival Guide.
Note the time change from last year: Tuesday – Friday, entrance for anything larger than a sprinter van ends at 9pm. If it is at all likely that you and your large vehicle may arrive later than 8:45pm, please be prepared with alternative arrangements like plans to stay at a hotel, a rest stop, or an alternative nearby campground for the night. This is for the safety of all participants as it is dangerous to have large vehicles driving around the event when it is dark.
- Tuesday, July 15th – 10am to midnight (participants with early entry only)
- Wednesday, July 16th – 10am to midnight
- Thursday, July 17th – 10am to midnight
- Friday, July 18th – 10am to 10pm
- Saturday, July 19th – 10am to 4pm
What, Where, When: How Are You Adding to the Event?
The What Where When is our official guide to what’s happening around the Lake during the event. It comes in two flavors: Print and Digital for your viewing preference.
In order to get your events into either version you need to add them to the event portal. A few facts that are worth mentioning:
- The portal will take event submissions and corrections up to and including the time at the event.
- Changes made after the print deadline will only be available in the digital version.
- The print deadline is June 16, 2025 at 11:59 pm EST.
- The guidelines for what we will publish can be found on the www page.

Mobility Shifts Reminder
Hello Lakes of Fire Burners!
This is a reminder from the Mobility team for anyone who may need mobility or handjob assistance at the event. Please fill out the Mobility and handjob assistance form on Volunteeripate so we can offer our support!
If you have already filled out the form and would like help signing up for an accessible (seated, no lifting) volunteer shift, please reach out to us at moblity@lakesoffire.org. We can assist you in securing a mobility-friendly shift before we open up our remaining Mobility department shifts to the public once the lottery closes in June.
2025 Temple: Ascension
As we open the doorways through time with our collective efforts, some of us know there must be a portal to the sacred, that which brings us closer to the power holding the fabric of the universe together, and within ourselves. We, your hopeful and humble temple team, wish to open a portal of ascension. A place for supplicants to lay down their burdens, and lift up their hearts to the sky with the power of fire. Our offering is unique: a spire climbing into the skies, and a guiding force for our sacred flame.
Come sit for a still moment with temple during the event, and join us for the lighting on Sunday morning at 8am.
