Check Your Volunteer Hours
Hey Volunteers!
Please double-check your LOF 2025 Volunteer Hours!
If something is missing or doesn’t match what you worked, no worries, just shoot us a note at volunteers@lakesoffire.org (and copy the department you volunteered with).
To help us track it down, please include:
- The department you volunteered with
- The shift you worked
- The date and time of your shift
- The tasks you did on your shift
- Any other little details that will help us verify your hours
We ask that all requests are sent to volunteers@lakesoffire.org ASAP to be recorded for the 2025 event.
Thank you for giving your time, energy, and heart to make Lakes of Fire burn so bright. We couldn’t do it without you.
With Fluffy Hugs and Endless Gratitude,
Your Volunteer Dream Team (VDT)
ESD Post-Event Survey
The ESD (Emergency Services Despartment) would love feedback from the community on their experiences with Medical, ESD Fire, and CIT (The Crisis Intervention Team).
Please share with us what we did right and what we could improve!
Your experience and feedback matters to us.
GLEA Board of Directors Wants You!
Are you looking for a way to contribute to Lakes beyond a shift during the burn?
Are you excited by spreadsheets, voting on important policy, and getting into how the sausage is made for an event that only exists because people have donated their time and energy?
The Board of Directors for GLEA (Great Lakes Experimental Arts, the org that runs Lakes) would like to fill their two open seats with burners ready to donate their time and energy to the processes that keep this event happening year after year. We cannot do it without your help!
Please submit your application by October 19th to be considered for this cycle. We’d love to introduce you at the next Leads Retreat!
(We are an all-volunteer non-profit organization. No one is paid, everyone buys a ticket, even the Board.)
P.S. Lakes of Fire is always looking for passionate people who are interested in leadership positions within our incredible departments. If that sounds like you, please apply here or reach out to a department lead to find out more.
=LoF===)*(===LoF=
As the autumn breeze blows in the smell of fallen leaves and cider mill doughnuts, the Lakes of Fire team is leaping into the next production cycle.
The Lakes Letter is the best source to stay up-to-date each month on all the details.
If you’re not seeing this in e-mail, consider signing up. You can also sign up for volunteering updates from individual departments.
May your treats be sweet, your tricks be fun, and your doors always open to new people and experiences.
xoxo,

P.S. We hope you love our new department logo as much as we do!
