Calling all communication enthusiasts, tech wizards, and first-time explorers! Join us to help maintain a FCC-compliant communication network to ensure that we all stay connected across the Lake. We are more than walkie-talkies. We provide essential training to all leadership and volunteers to ensure proper communication hygiene when communicating over the airwaves.
We have inclusive volunteer opportunities for all experience levels and provide comprehensive training and resources for confident communication. You can show up to your shift with confidence by reading the Radio Handbook ahead of time. We also streamlined the radio waiver process after shift sign-up.

There are a variety of roles pre and post event:
- Tech Support: set up tear down of the repeater, radio tent and other infrastructure
- Training Guru: share knowledge and empower fellow volunteers
- Radio Hygiene: ensure safe and responsible radio use, no burning out! Make sure you unplug!
- Communication Coach: help volunteers master clear, concise radio calls
