2026 Mobility and DMV Forms Updates

Welcome to the 2026 season!

Once you have your ticket, it is time to consider which event forms to submit. While the accessibility opt-in of the Mobility & Handjob form is unchanged, we have consolidated some of our previous vehicle forms into two primary categories, Moving and Camped, to make it easier to identify exactly which permit you need. Please review the updated definitions below to ensure your vehicle is registered correctly.

Moving Vehicle Form

This form is for any vehicle intended to be driven during the event.

Camped Vehicle Form

This form is for any vehicle intended to stay parked at your camp for the duration of the event. This form does not assign or guarantee space at the event.

  • Who should use this: Participants bringing RVs, trucks, or trailers to be kept within the event, as well as those with vehicles required for stationary medical support (formerly the RV, Trucks, and Trailers, and Medical Necessity Vehicle forms).
  • Form Dates: 4/1/26 12:00 pm EST -7/17/26 10:00 pm EST
  • https://lakesoffire.volunteeripate.com/permit-apply?permit=69

Mobility & Handjob Form

This form is for attendees in need of assistance getting around the event, help setting up/tearing down personal campsite setup, and/or connecting with a volunteer opportunity that fits their needs. Not intended for theme camp infrastructure or art grant projects.

  • Who should use this: Whether you have a permanent disability, a temporary injury, or just need a hand navigating the terrain, we are here for you. If you ask us for assistance, you will receive it. We will never ask for proof or a reason for your request.
  • Form Dates: 4/1/26 12:00 pm EST – 7/23/26 6:45 pm EST

2026 Ranger Training Schedule

Calling all Rangers, new and returning! It’s that time of year again, and we are thrilled to share everything you need to know about Ranger training for 2026.

Whether you have been on the Ranger team for years or you are gearing up for your very first shift, completing a Ranger training is required for everyone. No exceptions, no grandfathering in. We all start here, and that is what makes our team strong.

How to Train

We are offering two ways to complete your training this year:

In-Person Training:

There is nothing quite like learning alongside your fellow Rangers in real time. We strongly encourage new Rangers especially to attend an in-person session. You will get hands-on context, the chance to ask questions, and that all-important team energy that is hard to replicate anywhere else. Check the 2026 Ranger Training page for dates, times, and locations.

Virtual Training:

Life gets busy, schedules get complicated, and not everyone can make it into town. We get it. That is why we are again offering a full virtual Ranger training through Volunteeripate. You can find it on the 2026 Ranger Training page or directly in the Apply for a Form section inside Volunteeripate.

One Thing Everyone Must Do

No matter which training you complete, in-person or virtual, you will need to complete the quiz inside Volunteeripate to unlock access to the Ranger shift schedule for 2026. This step is not optional, so do not skip it! Head into Volunteeripate after your training and knock it out so you are ready to sign up for shifts when the schedule opens.

Questions?

We are here for you. Reach out to us anytime at rangers@lakesoffire.org and someone from the team will get back to you.

We cannot wait to see you out there. Let’s make 2026 the best year yet for the Lakes of Fire Ranger team!

PNinja Shifts Are Open and We Want You On the Team!

Great news, friends. pNinja shifts are officially open and we are so excited to build out our perimeter crew for 2026.

pNinjas are our perimeter Rangers, the awesome volunteers who keep unticketed folks out and make sure our participants stay safe inside the event. It is an important role at Lakes of Fire, and honestly, the title alone is worth it.

Just a Quick Note Before You Sign Up

You will need to have already purchased your Lakes of Fire 2026 ticket to grab a shift. If you have not done that yet, snag your ticket first and then come on back!

Ready to Jump In?

Head over to lakesoffire.volunteeripate.com, log in, and pick up your pNinja shifts. Spots will go fast, so do not wait too long!

We are so grateful for everyone who steps up to volunteer and we cannot wait to ninja out with you on the perimeter this year.

Help Shape the Magic: Submit Your Theme Ideas for Lakes of Fire 2027!

Lakes of Fire has always been built by the people who show up, not just at the event, but in the planning, the dreaming, and the doing. And the dreaming starts right here. We’re throwing open the doors and asking this wild, wonderful community to do what it does best: imagine something extraordinary. The theme you suggest could be the thread that weaves together thousands of moments, art pieces, camps, and memories in 2027. So bring your big ideas, your half-baked notions, and your beautifully unhinged concepts. We want them all.

Here’s how the process works:

Submit Your Ideas : Open Through May 8th The idea submission form is open now! Drop your theme ideas, big or small, polished or half-baked. We want it all. Submissions close on May 8th at 11:59 pm EST, so don’t sleep on it.

Community Voting Begins May 10th: Once submissions close, we’ll consolidate the ideas, remove duplicates, and open community voting on May 10th. The top 10 ideas chosen by the community will move on to the next round.

Leadership Makes the Final Call: The top 10 ideas go to the full Lakes of Fire leadership team, who will select the theme that will define 2027.

The Big Reveal at the FunctionJunction during Exodus: The winning theme will be unveiled during Exodus at the event and announced in the first newsletter afterward. No spoilers. You’ll just have to be there.

This is your chance to leave your mark on something bigger than yourself. The weirder, the better. Dream big and let’s build 2027 together.

Submit Your Theme Idea Here

Submissions close May 8th. Don’t miss your chance to shape the burn.

Lakes of Fire 2026 Event Logo

Unveiling the face of our 2026 gathering, we are thrilled to present the official logo for Lakes of Fire 2026: Grand Masquerade! This year’s design captures the mysterious elegance and transformative spirit of the burn, inviting you to step behind the mask and into a world of curated anonymity and radical self-expression. As we prepare to transform our new property into a ballroom of fire and shadows, let this emblem serve as your formal invitation to the dance.

A larger version of this logo can be found here. The style guide can be found on this page
